Hello,
Our developer is trying to restore our site to her server, but while the restore appears successful, there are redirects in place that prevent her from seeing the site as it appears on her server. It redirects to the live site. She is requesting an Akeeba Backup without "blocking restrictions" and I'm at a loss. Do you know what might be causing these redirects?

Hello,

please note that Akeeba Backup has never ever had any "blocking restrictions". Actually that's the entire opposite: we developed our backup solution so you can own your data and do whatever you want with it (upload to a cloud service or on your own server), without being tied to any external service.
That being said, when such things happen it's because the original site is using absolute links (ie www.example.com/contact-us instead of /contact-us). This means that when you move the site, even if you are on your local computer, the link will point to the live site.
Please take a look at this page of the documentation for further info about this issue.
