After successfully backing up my site on WIMP stack (Joomla 3.9.11, MySQL 5.5, PHP 7.3.0), I used FTP to drop backup JPA and kickstart.php (from kickstart-core-6.0.1.zip) to new LAMP stack (versions, above), and successfully extracted the archive. When it was time to use the installer, I set "Connection Info" as follows:

Database type: MySQLi
Database server host: localhost
User name: adminer
Password: ********
Database name: ibdata1 (I also tried joomla_site_db - no difference)
Database table name prefix: todj36_

I used defaults under "Advanced Options" then pressed "Next" button.

Immediately after that, I received "Database error processing line 0" - full text of error and query in attached .TXT.

Also attached - snips of connection info dialog and error message box.

I am in Greensboro, NC, US - Eastern time zone. On Wed, Sep 4, I'm available 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, and then again 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

Thank you,
Todd Herman

It looks like your backup contained a MySQL VIEW which references a table that does not exist. Presumably the table was removed after the VIEW was created. This means that the VIEW can still exist in the database and get backed up but cannot be used and its backup cannot be restored. That is to say, it was not used by your site, it causes problems and we can safely skip its restoration.

On the database restoration page (your first PNG screenshot) you need to unselect (clear) the "Stop on CREATE error". This tells ANGIE to ignore the error which occurs when trying to create the problematic VIEW and continue with the restoration.

You're welcome!

We apologize for taking you through a wild ride of red herrings until we could help you. Dale misunderstood your original post. He was under the impression that the archive extraction fails. Before he went on short vacation he realized his mistake, asked me to take a look and told me he's sorry.
