Hi! I noticed the latest version of Kickstart (pro) only has two files. The language file and one PHP file. The two js (jquery) files are not needed anymore?

Kickstart 6 and later no longer use jQuery. All client-side code is written in vanilla JavaScript. That's why you no longer see the two JS files in either Kickstart Core or Pro.

With older versions the reasoning was different. Both Kickstart Core and Kickstart Pro default to loading jQuery off a CDN. However, you may have wanted to use Kickstart in an off-line or high latency environment such as an airplane, when you have satellite Internet, when travelling abroad where data is absurdly expensive etc. In these cases, if the two JS files were present they'd be used instead of the CDN. However, Kickstart Pro's only difference to Core is being able to download archives from remote storage which requires an Internet connection. Since it always requires an Internet connection it didn't include the two JS files needed for off-line mode.
