Akeeba Backup Core for Joomla! is the free – as in “no charge” – version of our backup component for the Joomla! CMS. This section contains the language files (translations) for all of our software. Do note that the translation files for the Akeeba Backup component are common between the Core and the Professional editions.

These are third party translations. We can't guarantee their accuracy or completeness. If you want to translate Akeeba Backup to your native language, or have made a better translation, please drop us a line at the forum.

Akeeba Kickstart is a stand-alone PHP script which can extract JPA and ZIP archive files directly on your server. It can be used together with Akeeba Backup's backup archive files to easily restore your site on a new server, without even installing anything else before that.

Alternatively, you can use it to install a fresh or upgrade an existing Joomla! and WordPress installation, or even install third-party scripts such as phpBB, Gallery2, etc. As long as it's a ZIP or JPA archive, Kickstart can extract it!

Akeeba Remote Control allows you to backup your site without even logging into it, simply using a desktop program. It can even backup multiple sites at the same time, downloading the backup files to your local disk when done. You can even use it as a portable application on a USB thumb drive!

Akeeba SiteDiff is a security-minded native Windows™ application which allows you to compare two backup archives and report which files have been added, removed or modified, based on the calculation of an industry-standard MD5 sum for each file. It can be a life saver in identifying potentially hacked sites, long before you notice the side effects of the hacker's actions.

JoomlaPack 2.x is the predecessor to Akeeba Backup, the genius Joomla! component which made easy full site backups accessible to all. Since February 20th, 2010 it is put on maintenance mode; no new features will be added to it, only bugs will be fixed. JoomlaPack 2.x is no longer supported. If you want documentation and support you must upgrade to Akeeba Backup 3.x.

This is an old, unsupported version of JoomlaPack which only works on Joomla! 1.0.x sites.

This version is OBSOLETE. Use only if you still have a Joomla! 1.0.x site.Absolutely no support will be provided for this version of the component. For Joomla! 1.5.x sites use JoomlaPack 2.x or Akeeba Backup Core 3.x instead.
