Description of my issue: Hi, how do I turn off the automatic generated email for updating the joomla? Please note that the plugin "System - Admin Tools Update Email" is disabled. Thanks a lot in advance.

This is the only plugin sending this message. Please make sure that you have disabled the plugin from all of your sites which may be emailing you, including local copies and development sites. One common issue is that someone has created a dev site, forgot about it, disabled the plugin on the main (live) site and continues to receive emails from the dev site, thinking that it's the main site sending them. If you double check the update URL it should be very clear which site of yours is emailing you.

Hi Nicholas,

The problem still exists. I receive 4-5 email every day for upgrading the JOOMLA from version 1.7.5 to 2.5. I do not intend to upgrade my joomla site to version 2.5 and I want to stop receiving these notifications. Please note the following:

1. The plugin "System - Admin Tools Update Email" was disabled by default.
2. There are no local or development sites ( I checked it and the update link is generated by the main website )

Can you please assist?

If you want to disable the Joomla! update emails (not the Admin Tools update emails) you have to unpublish the "System - Joomla! Update Email" plugin.
