Akeeba Remote Control CLI (Remote CLI for short) is a powerful command line application which can interface with a site where Akeeba Backup is installed in order to provide certain remote administration features, such as remotely taking backups, downloading backup archives, deleting backup records and upgrading Akeeba Backup itself. It is able to work in human– or machine–friendly output format modes so that you can either use it directly from the command line, or easily create a "wrapper" application around it.
Remote CLI is Free Software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 3 of the license or, at your option, any later version published by the Free Software Foundation. You should have received a copy of the license with the programme, contained in the file LICENSE.txt. Alternatively, use the --license parameter of the programme to display the text of the license.

When Akeeba Backup detects established or potential problems with respect to your server setup or its own configuration, it will raise warnings. These warnings are displayed both in the Control Panel and on the backup page, where you enter the backup details.
