Description of my issue: Hello,

Some days I found my Joomla folder with permissions 777 and users cannot view my website in frontend. I don't know who can change it and if there is some solution with AdminTools component. I change password for my FTP account every day an continue happening the same problem.

Many thanks.

Hello Gerard,

This reminds me of a bug in a very old Akeeba Backup release (I think 3.3.3 or 3.3.4) when you were using the site's root as the backup output directory. Can you check if you have such an old version of Akeeba Backup?

Admin Tools can't help you in that case because a. you don't have site access when this happens, as a result you can't run Admin Tools and b. your problem is with the site's root directory, which is exactly one directory level above of what Admin Tools is deliberately limited to access.
