hi,

I have an issue with uploading images in EasyBlog - seems they're blocked by Admin tools. Anyway I created an WAF exception for easyblog and it's working now. My problem is how to create an exception only for image uploads and not for the entire component? I want my exception to be triggered by queries to com_easyblog when controller=media and task=upload but if I fill-in "Query parameter" with controller=media&task=upload I don't get what I want - it's not working anymore

Please advice how to create WAF exception in this scenario

First go to Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF. Make sure "Log security exceptions" is set to Yes; if it's not, set it to Yes and click on Save. Now try reproducing your issue. Immediately after that, please go to Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Security Exceptions Log and go to the latest record. The latest log entry should have the date and time of when the issue occurred. Please copy the Reason and Target URL here so that I can help you.

hi,

here's requested data:

Reason: DFIShield
Target URL: http://mysite.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&controller=media&task=upload&tmpl=component&format=json&sessionid=xxxx&ae5b49c9eaa14f1c412c24734571cb1f=1&bloggger_id=xx&lang=en&place=user:xx&path=/

if I create WAF exception for com_easyblog it's working just fine - all images are uploaded corectly to correct folders. But I want this exception to be valid only for image uploads :)

regards

Try setting it like that:
Component: com_easyblog
View: (leave it blank)
Query: path
