Hi Nicholas
LOVE LOVE LOVE Admin Tools and the WAF - cant tell you how effective it is been in stopping various hack on websites i look after.

I know this feature request is possibly harder to implement - but thought i would throw it out there.

I have noticed that a lot of attacks come from the same subnet - but the Bots/Hackers are changing their IP address on every 3rd strike. So that elude the 3 attempts in 1 hour or whatever time period is set.

would it be possible to provide an additional option (that can be turned on/off) to auto block attackers from the same subnet...

i have lots of logs you can look at to see the sorts of patterns i'm talking about if you wanted to take a lot, or i can possibly extract them and send to you

just a thought, peter

But, this feature was implemented two and a half years ago? Just go to the black list management and enter the subnet definition in IP range, IP/netmask or CIDR formats. This cannot be automated as there is no way to manually detect the width of the subnet (range of IPs) you need to blacklist. Should we blacklist a /8, /16, /24 or something else? That's why you get the chance to do that manually. Humans are still more efficient in spotting patterns than computers.
