I have blacklisted a log-in failure from a specific IP address. Why then is this same IP still accessing the front end of my site? Yes, the spurious attempt at logging in fails, but still the attempts show up in my log; sometime as many as a 100 times a day. And always the same user name and password.
Or, and please correct me if I am wrong, is my log just telling me the attempt is made and that the attempt never even sees the site?
