Joomla! version: 3.15
PHP version: 5.4.19 single
MySQL version: 5.5.33-log
Host: Bluehost
Admin Tools version: 2.58

Description of my issue:

I am trying to create a htaccess file, regardless of what I turn on (or off) it creates an error 500 page, then when reloading the page or go back, I get the message
Your host needs to use PHP 5.3.1 or higher to run this version of Joomla!
I do have php 5.4.19 installed. However when I try to use my website again I have to go into the Bluehost php config and reload pho 5.4.19 again in order to make the website working...any ideas what is going wrong here?

I think your BlueHost php config is putting an AddHandler command in your .htaccess file that changes your php version to 5.4.19 from some much lower default version. When you use .htaccess maker, it overwrites the BlueHost .htaccess file and changes the php version back to the default.

To make everybody happy, copy BlueHost's AddHandler code out of your current .htaccess file and paste it as a custom rule at the top of the file in .htaccess Maker.
