Joomla! version: (unknown)
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: (unknown)

Description of my issue:

Joomla 3.1.6 and latest admintools 2.5.8.
I have resolve most of problems after admintools setting however there is one which I have not been able to resolve.

When I try to search was getting 404 error on browser, I added the js file to Allow Direct access list and error now changed to 500 internal server and I do not get any results.

I have attached the error on browser, any hint will be appreciated.

There would be more information about the 500 error in the server's error log (that is not the same as the access log). Hopefully that will be a little more informative than the browser error is. :)

Ok, here is the error in log file, I am not 100% sure it is due to admintools but I will have to install my backup from before admintools tonight and see if the same problem exisits:

[20-Sep-2013 09:23:01 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strpos() in /home/..../public_html/components/com_search/views/search/view.html.php on line 171

Hi I just found out the I need to install Mbstring extension in PHP. I have recently changed the server so this was not relevant to the admintools.

dlb
I'm glad you figured it out. For future reference, there is an easy way to turn off Admin Tools to test this sort of problem, you don't have to uninstall.
