Description of my issue:

I am trying to upgrade virtuemart from 2.0.20 to 2.0.24 (latest release) and I can't I keep getting the error message show in in title. When I look this error up I keep getting sites that reference disabling akeeba backup under the extention install tab. I have done so and still see the error so I assume it may not have anything to do with akeeba but I cannot find another resolution. I enjoy using akeeba products such as the admin tools and the backup, makes my life so much easier but I want to see if you are aware of this issue and if it relates in anyway to Admin Tools or AkeebaBackup? I can keep searching but I though I would reach out.

Thanks for your assistance.

I am not aware of the issue, but you can easily disable Admin Tools to test.
Go inside the plugins/system/admintools directory on your site. You will see a file named main.php. Rename it to main-disable.php. This will turn disable the Web Application Firewall from executing and you can access your site's back-end again. After you have fixed the cause of your issue remember to rename main-disable.php back to main.php, otherwise your site will remain unprotected!
If the problem persists with main.php renamed, it isn't Admin Tools causing it.
