You don't have permission to access /images/stories/870/DSC_4355-bs870x300.JPG on this server.

I checked permissions on directories 0755 an JPGs 0644, try to set the files on 0755 and renamed htaccess.txt to an other name.
But the pictures dont be displayed.
For example:
http://die-ferienwohnung-heimbach.de/images/stories/870/DSC_4355-bs870x300.JPG

Please help

Hans,

htaccess.txt is an inert file, it doesn't do anything. The real file is .htaccess (note the . at the beginning that makes it a hidden file on *NIX like systems). You need ot make sure the file browser that you are using is set to display hiddne files. Rename .htaccess and see if the problem goes away. That is not a solution, we are just testing.

Hi, thank you.
It works.
My pictures are visible.

Thank you very much.

Hans,

At a minimum, you should copy your htaccess.txt file to .htaccess. The basic htaccess.txt file, when activated, contains some basic protections that your site will benefit from. You probably used the .htaccess Maker function in Admin Tools and that locked out your images. By renaming .htaccess or reverting to the Joomla! supplied file, you are wiping out those changes.

If you want to follow up on this, just open another ticket.
