Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable
PHP version: 5.3.13
MySQL version: 5.5.32-log
Host: Ipower
Admin Tools version: 2.5.8

Description of my issue:

The OneClick email tells me I have an update to joomla available. But the version it wants me to update to is an older version of joomla then what I have already installed?

Here is what the email says:
___________________________________________

An updated version of Joomla! is available.

Joomla! version currently installed: 2.5.14
Joomla! version available for installation: 2.5.11

To install the update on White Knight Pro please click the following link. If the URL is not a link, simply copy & paste it to your browser.

Please go to Extensions, Extension Manager, Update. In the upper right corner click Purge Cache and Find Updates. That should get your system back in sync with Joomla!

Thank you I think that did the trick!

However when I go to update extensions the restore point feature does not seem to work? When I check an extension to update and click update It just updates extensions that need updates?

I expect to see the restore backup feature pop up before installing the updated extension. I definitely checked it as an option when setting up the component initially and checked to see if the plugin was active which it is.

Any thoughts?

Thank you for your time.

Not all extensions are compatible with the restore point. The extension has to tell the restore point plugin what needs to be backed up in order for it to work. You can try to force a re-update of Admin Tools or Backup if you want to see if it is working, but you already checked the plugin so you have done about all the diagnosis there is.
