Salve- Saviors of my webmaster existence.

May I ask two short questions pls- first- I switched on one of my sites to https from http and whilst setting joomla to "force" ssl for the site, WAF required login again whilst being in the back-end. Now it appears I have to login twice before entering the backend again.
Any suggestion?
Well- I did screw up that procedure with another site- and restored in 10 minutes with kickstart- so I thought I need to go pro on that one (just info- thanks for a great tool)

Second and last- my plesk webserver runs on apache2, but strato/parallels offer also nginx as front end reverse proxy. I switched that off when I installed the htaccess maker of admintools a few months ago, but I saw that more configuration opportunities now exist for nginx. Can you advise an illiterate how to deal with that please? I am interested to deliver static stuff from sites where I do not have cdn service.
Thanks so much for your time.

Make sure that you access the back-end on your site using the https protocol prefix, e.g. https://www.example.com and not http://www.example.com.

I would suggest NOT enabling NginX. There is no support for .htaccess in NginX and every small or big configuration change requires you to edit the NginX configuration and restart the server. This is the fastest way to brick your site if you don't know what you're doing. I would recommend sticking with Apache.

Thank you for the advice Nicholas- I surely will adhere to it.
The special offers section was an excellent resource for me to find the "good guys" in all aspects of web publishing and I feel very comfortable now with the plans that I committed myself too. The support will be there, if I stumble.
Thanks- I will close the ticket
