 Hello,

I use Fabrik (http://ww.fabrikar.com) on a J3.2.1 site for some forms Admin Tools Pro is installed as well. When using the filters to sort the data, I trigger a "tmpl= in URL" exception in WAF. The log entry reads

http://www.domainname.com/contact-us-table?group_by=mds_contactus___consultant&resetfilters=0&clearordering=0&clearfilters=0

It's not obvious to me what the error is as other exceptions clearly have "?template=..." in the error logs. I did search but haven't found anything that may fix this. I have also searched the Fabrik forums, but cannot see a solution.

In another ticket I read that you were seeking your users input into the documentation you have written. Well, my view on your documentation is that it is easy to follow, full of relevant info and straight to the point, follows a logical path (the troubleshooter) and it has solved numerous issues I have had in the past, so thank you for your efforts you have put into it.

Thank you very much!

Tony

Hello Tony,

most likely variable tmpl is inside the POST request, so you won't see it in the URL.
You have two ways to work around this issue:
  1. Disable checks vs tmpl requests
  2. Create a WAF exception

The first is the easiest and fastest way, the second you'll have to work a little. You'll have to find the non-SEF url of the page that gives you the error (e.g. index.php?option=....), then you should create a WAF exception. Nost likely you'll have to exclude the whole Fabrik component.

Let me know if this works

Thank you very much! I have added com_fabrik as a WAF exception and the problem is gone.

Cheers,
Tony
