This one is FYI for you Nicholas. I don't think it is AT but you just never know. I posted over on Joomla's 2.5 forum.

Here is my site using Joomla 2.5.14, Akeeba's Admin Tools and K2. Users cannot register on the site — I manually issue accounts.

I had a user who lost his password and used the Forgot your password feature. The site stated that a link had been sent which he never received. I know this is so because I logged into his online e-mail account and it was not in the spam folder.

In the site's back end I manually reset the user's password. He tried logging in and got the reply: The password reset confirmation failed because the verification code was invalid. User not found. I was able to log in using his information.

After repeated attempts I went into the user database and reset resetCount to zero. Again, same error to the user after trying to log in. So, I deleted the user's account and reissued another one. The same error once again.

I am at my wit's end on this one and could use some help please.

This has certainly nothing to do with our software. Last time I saw something like that I had a template with an outdated override to com_users that was missing a couple of hidden fields which were added (if I recall correctly) somewhere around Joomla! 2.5.10 or thereabouts. I'd recommend talking with your template provider.

A follow up. I now remember why I reached out to you on this one.

Admin Tools sends me an error logging in e-mail each time he tries logging in. Examining the back end I see his IP rotating as he uses AOL.Crap which is assigning a proxy. I thought that might have something to do with it but ruled it out after viewing the support on your site.
