I tried to install the new update 2.6.1 from the automatic link Admintools sends from Site. That failed with a corrupt xml error.

I then downloaded the update from the Akeebabackup.com my account site. Then installed on website using the extension manager. Install completed, except I now have a MSG on every Administrator page stating: PLG_SYSTEM_ATOOLSUPDATECHECK_MSG.

How can I get rid of the message? Should I be concerned?

OK, thought I'd try something and it worked. Cleared the FOF folder in the backend cache and that has cured the message from appearing. Maybe add to trouble shooter articles for further reference.

There is a language string missing. The actual message reads:

The <b>System - Admin Tools Update Email</b> plugin is now obsolete. You will find your Admin Tools updates under Extensions, Extensions Manager, Update in your Joomla! back-end. You will no longer be receiving emails about Admin Tools updates. Please disable this plugin to stop this message from appearing.

We will be releasing a new version 2.6.2 later today to address this and another issue in Admin Tools.
