Following the email indicating an available update from 2.5.20 to 2.5.21, I have been trying to update Joomla. I followed the link in the email to http://worldnewstrust.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_joomlaupdate and initiated the update. The backup works properly but when it completes the update never finishes. The screen shown is this: http://awesomescreenshot.com/04930ht8f6

Should I manually update? I've tried this with both direct and ftp methods, and got the same result. Is there a log I can check to see what is going on? I verified existence of the backup etc. and all appears ok.

Submitted by Chuck Gregory, consulting to Francis Goodwin, site owner. Would appreciate responses copied to email [email protected] in addition to [email protected]

Joomla! Update is part of Joomla! itself and as such we can not provide support for it.

Admin Tools only role in the process was sending you the email to notify you that Joomla! claims there's an update available. The actual update is handled by the Joomla! Update component which is part of Joomla! itself. We can only provide support for our commercial components. If you want support for core Joomla! code please try using the official Joomla! forum (forum.joomla.org), your local Joomla! community's forum (if applicable) or the Joomla! Facebook or Google+ page.
