We have a strange issue..Our sessions table in our Joomla 2.5 site has records that constantly are getting added, yet there is nobody on our site.. we can empty the table and within 5 secs there is 100 records back in it.. we have repairs the table.. but still happens.. what should we be looking for ? even our host company is saying it appears to be coming from our index.php page.. but it is just a generic joomla 2.5 index.php file..

It seems to have started after install of Admin tool on our site.. but not sure ..

Hello Chuck,

Joomla creates a session row for every visitor to your site, that's why your host says that the rows are created from the index.php page; this means that your site gets a lot of traffic.
How can you be 100% sure that there isn't anyone on your site?
Please remember that Internet is full of bots: they could be search engine crawlers or automated attacks scanning your site.

Anyway, that is not related with Admin Tools in anyway, since it is part of Joomla and, obviously, they can't "trigger" any visit.
