#20410 How to: backend login block, frontend not

Hello,

Is it possible that i can:
- any frontent login attempt is not blocked (they can try to login many times without blocking)
- but /administrator logins are blocked for anyone who dont use the secret link or his/here IP adres is in the 'don't block this IP forever'

I think this is not possible because now there is not a difference possible for frontend or backend logins in the configuration. Or is this possible now?

Hello Michel,

you can disable the check vs frontend logins setting the option Treat failed logins as security exceptions to false.
Then you can add a secret word for accessing the backend.

Please note that if an user sends the wrong access details he won't be blocked, however he needs to know the secret word to access to the backend page.
