I printed and read thoroughly the Admin tools pdf document before using the .htaccess Maker process. I am not sure how, but after setting this up i now have the following error (previously fixed) and the following warning has returned. Both are issues with the php.ini file.

Error

Your host needs to disable magic_quotes_gpc to run this version of Joomla!

The PHP temporary directory is not set

The PHP temporary directory is the directory that PHP uses to store an uploaded file before Joomla! can access this file. Whilst the directory not being set isn't always a problem, if you are having issues with manifest files not being detected or uploaded files not being detected, setting this in your php.ini file might fix the issue.

Both of these things were fine before i used the .htaccess Maker. Is there any change i need to make to the .htaccess file now? could it be pointing to an incorrect php.ini file?

Sorry I am so noob, I am loving your product - it has prevented a few attacks already and I find it actually more thorough than RS Firewall.

Most likely your host gave you some special directives to place in the .htaccess file to turn off magic_quotes_gpc and set a PHP temporary directory. Please place these lines in .htaccess Maker's "Custom .htaccess rules at the bottom of the file" area, then click on the "Save & Create .htaccess" button. If you are unsure what these special directives are please contact your host: these are always server-specific so we can't tell you what to put there.
