I like to white list all Search engine IP

Is this a good idea first ?

and on this live ip checker —> http://myip.ms/info/bots/Google_Bing_Yahoo_Facebook_etc_Bot_IP_Addresses.html

For Google
203.208.60.0/24, 66.249.64.0/19, 72.14.199.0/24, 209.85.238.0/24, 2001:4860:4801:2::/64, 2001:4860:4801:5::/64, 2001:4860:4801:6::/64, 2001:4860:4801:2001::/64, 2001:4860:4801:2002::/64

Is this the right format for the whitelist ???

Those are kind of weird —> 2001:4860:4801:6::/64 ?

Hello Patrick,

whitelisting search bot ip address is not a good solution: their IP will change very often and it's often unreliable.
Inside Admin Tools there already is an option to prevent banning search bots, please take a look at this page in the documentation, section Whitelisted domains
