Strange behavior of admintool pro here. I updated AT from version 2.2.10 to 2.2.12. Before this update, i was using secret word i will take "OLDword" for the example. After the update, i decided to change the secret word to "NEWword".
I disconnect from the admin and tried to access the admin by typing the url mysite.me/administrator?NEWword . The system redirect me to the home page. I tried without secret word.. Redirect to the homepage. I tried with OLDword... Redirect to the homepage.

Via FTP, i renamed pro.php (as found on the doc for disabling AT). Tried to access without secret word and... Redirect to the homepage... I tried with the NEWword.. Redirect to the homepage... Tried with OLDword... Miracle i can access the admin!!! But normally AT is disable because i renamed pro.php...

So i made another test. Uninstall and reinstall AT... Same history... I tried to rename main.php and it make the same as when renaming pro.php...

I dont understand why it take the old secret word when i disable AT and why i'm not able to access administrator when AT is enable... Maybe there is something on the database...

Thanks for your help

Hello Xavier,

can you please check if your server as an OP cache (Memcache, APC etc etc)?
That kind of cache will save the contents of the files in memory and execute them without reading them from the filesystem. This means that if you change a file, you have to wait until the cache expires before actually see the changes made effect.

Thanks Davide for your reply.
I found the solution (it was my fault).
Before using ATpro, i was young jsecure with the secret word "OLDword". When installing ATpro, i setup with the same secret word and forget to uninstall jsecure. So i dont know which of AT or jsecure made the job but both has the same secret word so it was working..
When changing the secret word in AT, it was impossible to access the admin because secret words was not the same.
Now i uninstalled jsecure and ATpro works like a charm.

Thanks for your help
