Hi Support,

I got an IPV6 address on my home internet connection. I was used on putting my home IP in de Administrator IP Whitelist but I can´t get the right wildcard setting for a IP V6 address.

My IP V6 looks like 2001:977:51da:1:b810:1310:cfec:cdff but only the first part 2001:977:51da:1 is always the same. So I want to whitelist all IP addresses started with 2001:977:51da:1

I tried a lot and think it should be 2001:977:51da:1.but I am still getting logged and blocked if I continue using an backend URL after a Joomla timedout.

Any idea how I can Whitelist this address?

Many thanks in advanced and also for your great work on your super extensions!

Kind regards,
Nico

Hello Nico,

can you please try to use 2001:977:51da:1::/64?
That should do the trick.

Hi Davide,

No, that doesn´t do the job ;-( Any other suggestion? My IP is slightly different as I didn´t want to publish it on a public forum. Can that be the reasson or is it always 64 at the end?

Kind regards, Nico

I just talked with Nicholas, the syntax I gave you should be correct, however at the moment IPv6 wildcards are not supported.
We're working on including this feature in the next release.
