I'm experiencing the following error after attempting to use Admin Tools to create an .httaccess file:
Fatal error: Class 'Akeeba\Engine\Platform' not found in /home/xxxxx/public_html/plugins/quickicon/akeebabackup/akeebabackup.php on line 198

I haven't been able to find an update on a solution to the problem. The frontend works fine after the creation of the .httaccess file but the backend goes to a white screen with the above error message. So I renamed the created .httaccess file to restore the backend access.

The created .httaccess looks like this (I replaced the domain name to hide it):

I appreciate some help. Thank you.

You can rename
/home/xxxxx/public_html/plugins/quickicon/akeebabackup/akeebabackup.php
The quckicons are obsolete in Joomla! 3.x. When you get back in, you can disable that quickicon under plugins and rename it back. Someday when Joomla! 2.5 is finally dead we'll be able to clean out all that old code.
