YOUR RESPONSE IN THE PREVIOUS TICKET #25317

If you have uninstalled Admin Tools its code is no longer there. As a result your site does not run any of our code. Therefore your issue is unrelated to Admin Tools' code.

Maybe you want to remove the .htaccess and .htpasswd files from administrator (if you had used the administrator password protection feature of Admin Tools). Moreover, if you had used the .htaccess Maker try to replace the contents of the .htaccess file in the main folder of your site with the contents of Joomla's htaccess.txt. By doing these two changes you have completely reverted any change made by Admin Tools to your site.

If this still doesn't help your issue is unrelated to Admin Tools.


MY RESPONSE

After uninstalling admin tools i notice that when i access my backend i still needed to provided the backend folder password, before accessing the admin interface.

But now its no longer asking for the password.
I have not yet made any change to the htacess file or the ,htpasswd files yet.


Your kind assistance will be appreciated.

Hello,

I just removed the .htacess file completely and i can now access the backend successfully, but it still ask me for the password that protects the admin page.

Please provide guidance.

The .htaccess and .htpasswd files that Nicholas was referring to are in the /administrator folder. These trigger the user and password prompt before the login screen on the back end. You can simply rename the .htaccess file if you are reluctant to delete it.
