Hi, I've a problem with this page: http://www.condivisionefraipopoli.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=179&Itemid=380&lang=it

The page is public but on firefox (and some customer with chrome also) I get a login prompt that ask account and psw, like the one I've configured to access the backend.

Can you tell me please how to solve this?
Thank you.

I got the password prompt with both Chrome and Firefox, which is what I expected. The prompt should be consistent, it should prompt for a password once per browser session.

The problem is that you have password protected the /administrator folder and some public facing program is calling something within that folder. This is against Joomla!'s best practices. When the program calls whatever it is looking for within /administrator, that triggers the password prompt. You may be able to tell what is being called by looking at your server error log for a 403 error.

There is no way to work around this except to turn off the password protection. You need to contact the author of the badly behaved program and get them to call the program's assets from the public facing folders (images, media, etc.) not from within /administrator.

Hi and thank you for replay.
You're right, the form captcha load a .png in the administrator folder.
I'll fix it.
Thank you.
