I don't see this issue discussed anywhere, but maybe I missed it. I want to whitelist my IP as administrator, but if my IP address changes (which it might if my modem gets reset, which happens occasionally) I don't want to lock myself out. I can whitelist a range of IPs (xx.xxx.) that apparently I will always be part of (as long as I stay with this ISP) but that could potentially let in a lot more people than just me, which seems to defeat the purpose of the whitelist somewhat. If someone loses access to the back end due to their IP changing, how can they get access back again?

Many thanks,
Wendy

Wendy,

You can easily disable Admin Tools from FTP with the instructions here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/atwafissues.html.
