Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

We seem to be getting a lot of users deactivated and I am not sure why? I suspect it is because they are maybe entering a wrong password too many times.

I have done some searches and some forums say that AdminTools can deactivate users. I find this strange, but thought it might be worth raising as a question.

So, does Admin Tools have any settings that can deactivated a User??

Thanks for any pointers to why this maybe happening.

Yes, users can be automatically deactivated depending on your settings in Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF, Hardening Options, “Deactivate user after”.

Please note that the default is to NOT deactivate users with the default setting being 0 failed logins in 1 day (0 disables the feature).

Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for the information. Our old administrator must have set it up. We have setting deactivate user after 5 failed attempts in 1 Hour.

So, if I understand this correctly a user will be deactivated if they try to login with the wrong password or any other reason for a failed login such "invalid security token messages"   5 times in any period of 1 hour. Is this correct?

Kind regards

David
