AdminTools blocked the installation of CB (Community Builder).

I have found the cause of the problem.
On the website I use Akeeba AdminTools.
Apparently AdminTools is blocking the CB installation process.
After installation the message appears: Installation component successful.
But not the CB information that should appear during installation.

After I temporarily disabled Backend Protection in Akeeba AdminTools, the installation of CB went well.
After the installation I re-enabled Backend Protection and CB continues to work fine.

Is it possible to find out what causes that?

I started a topic at Joomlapolis too: https://www.joomlapolis.com/forum/146-general/244474-where-can-i-find-cb-in-joomla-4#327076

Well, the documentation on finding .htaccess Maker exceptions tells you how to do that.

It looks like CB does not install as a regular Joomla component. It only uses the Joomla extensions installer to install a few files. It needs to access an arbitrarily named .php file in its installation folder to actually install the component. I am pretty sure this is against the Joomla Extensions Directory's rules about having to use the Joomla extensions installer but that's beside the point.

The workaround you found is actually valid and what I would have recommended you to do. After installing CB re–enable the backend protection to protect your site.

Thanks for your reply.

Good to know my workaround was the correct way to fix this.
