No problem, no rush, this is on a site testing upgrade to Joomla 4.

Got a message in the System Dashboard on Joomla 4 that "There are tables not up to date!" But when I look at the details they are shown in a pop-up and are difficult to copy out.

Database version 7.0.9 does not match manifest version 7.1.0

Database update version 7.1.0 does not match admintools for Joomla 7.0.10

Table wekw_admintools_log has the wrong type or attributes for column 'reason'

I had not updated admintools to the Joomla 4 version until after update.

I also encountered a problem with Search that blew up the front end of the site, but then I reinstalled Joomla 4 and that brought it back.  Since the old search wasn't working, I made a menu option for the Smart Search, which wouldn't index despite enabling the plugin. Not sure that is related to the Admintools issue but you never know.

Thanks!

Dorothy

Let's start by saying that the last problem is unrelated to anything about Admin Tools. Joomla 4 no longer ships with the legacy com_search (it's a separate and optional extension), it ships with Smart Search.

Now, about Admin Tools. Select Admin Tools in the Maintenance: Database page and click on Update Structure. It will fix the table.

If not, go to Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Blocked Requests Log and delete all entries. Then go to System, Maintenance, Database, select Admin Tools and click on Update Structure.

I did the Update Structure and also had to clear the Blocked Request Log and Update Structure again. Finally was able to update Admin Tools, Akeeba Backup and so on and remove the old version. All seems good with regard to Akeeba.

I went back to the regular search and that is working. There may be issues with Smart Search but I need to look into that more.

All good for now, thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! Apparently this happens when there are blocked requests marked with reason ‘wafblacklist’. We'll address this soon with a new release.
