Just a quick question. Does Admin Tools monitor the attempts to login to the frontend as well as the backend?  If so is there a way to tell the difference?

Thanks.

The failed login feature is triggered by Joomla's onUserLoginFailure event which is emitted by both the front- and the backend of your site. Therefore it tracks both frontend and backend failed logins.

You can discern if it's a front- or backend login by looking at the Target URL in the blocked requests log. If it contains /administrator/ it's backend.

Further to that, there is a separate feature to warn you of failed admin logins. If you also enable that feature you will get an email when a backend login fails (username and/or password and/or secret code mismatch).
