EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Seems to behave like it's OK then Fails at the end when finalising the backup process, when I analise the log files it doesn't error.... It seems to actually do the backup and it's delivered in dropbox, problem is that if I want to update joomla or an extension it stops this process...

Help appreciated,

The log file tells us exactly what is going on:

INFO |140416 12:19:24|Beginning post processing file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-brightertools.com-20140416-111831.jpa

INFO |140416 12:20:12|Finished post-processing file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-brightertools.com-20140416-111831.jpa

It takes 48 seconds to upload the backup archive to Dropbox. Further above this log line tells us how big the backup archive is:

DEBUG |140416 12:19:22|Total size of backup archive (in bytes): 29062321

It is 27.72Mb. As you can read in the cloud backup section of our documentation we have to use a smaller part size for split archives to prevent the backup from timing out. I'd say that a part size for split archives equal to 10Mb would work wonders in your case. Please try it. If you still have a problem backing up your site please post back your new log file.
