EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I have Akeeba set to auto update But it's still on version 4.1.2. I can't seem to find any way to update this even though this used to be really easy in the past. Can you help please as my you clearly have more up to date versions. Many thanks

As you can see in our compatibility page the latest version available for Joomla! 2.5 is indeed Akeeba Backup 4.1.2. We have dropped support for Joomla! 2.5 in January. This is in line with our long standing policy of supporting Joomla! releases up to one month after they are officially declared end-of-life.

I would recommend that you should update your site to Joomla! 3 as soon as possible, regardless of our software. Joomla! 2.5 is end of life for 9 months, therefore insecure to use. Some of the security fixes in recent Joomla! releases do affect Joomla! 2.5 as well but nobody is going to provide a patch. Being left with an old site like that is a major risk, only in part mitigated by the use of Admin Tools or any other security product (no security software can protect you from all 0-day exploits).
