EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

So i'm trying to update joomla to 3.6.1. As usual the backup process kicks in first but then after 99% (pretty sure it hits 100), i get a blank white page with a line along the lines of "The last request was denied because it contains an invalid security token. Refresh the page and try again). When i check the backup taken the backup has been completed but the site remains at 3.6.0

Is this a joomla issue or an akeeba backup issue? I guess i can temporarily disable ABP to see if that fixes it but i'll first await your response.

dlb
You need to disable the System - Update on Backup plugin before doing the update to Joomla! 3.6.1. The plugin is not working with 3.6.1. I just found out about 4 hours ago, so I don't have any more details than that.

So it is some form akeeba backup issue? Not asking for details :) Good enough for me. Disable, update, enable and wait for a fix :)

dlb
In that the System - Update on Backup is our plugin, yes it is an Akeeba Backup issue. Akeeba Backup itself will work fine under 3.6.1, just that plugin has problems.

Nicholas knew exactly what was wrong when he left the support note earlier tonight. But he's on a road trip between Indiana and Texas, so it won't be fixed until probably the middle of next week.

Yeah no worries. Did a manual backup, disabled that plugin, updated to 3.6.1 and enabled it again pending a permanent fix. Enabled it again cause didn't want to forget it later in case the fix is out before a new J! version. Case closed for me. Though I would appreciate it if this could be left open and replied to when there's a fix. If it automatically closes before then, so be it.

Wim,

This just went out on Twitter:
Akeeba Backup 5.1.4 just released. Now the Backup On Update plugin is compatible with Joomla! Update version 3.6.1 (published yesterday).
