Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Whenever I try to upgrade my PHP version to anything 7 and above I get the following error after I log in to my backend:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\ip-tec.net\httpdocs\plugins\quickicon\akeebabackup\akeebabackup.php on line 274

Also when I am logged in at the time I change the PHP version I see the following message when I access the Akeeba Backup component:
Outdated PHP version 5.3.29 detected
Akeeba Backup requires PHP 5.4.0 or any later version to work.

We strongly urge you to update to PHP 5.6.0 or later. If you are unsure how to do this, please ask your host.

The system is running on Windows Server 2012 R2 with Plesk.

Any suggestions on how to get this versioning right again is greatly appreciated ...

Thanks,
Elmar

Solved ...

The IIS handler for .php somehow hasn't got changed even so every other handler did. Changed it manually and everything is fine.
