Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hello.

Each time, when i make a update, it's a big problem.

And now, it's not possible to install your package ... ? Why is so complicated ?

It is necessary to unzip the package before upload?

"Big problem" is not something I can fix. I need to know why it is a problem in order to help you. What sort of error message are you getting?

Akeeba updates would install just like any other Joomla! update. If you have your Download ID entered in the Options, it should download from our server and install. If you download the zip file from our Downloads page, it should update through the Joomla! Install page, without affecting your settings or stored backups.

Hi.
And thank you for the reply.
Before update I extract the file in zip… and I copy this files 6 or 7 in the directory for installation.
If I put just one file … it’s not find
!?
The installation is, i think, ok now.

Best regards

dlb
All of the files within the distribution zip archive would be needed to do the update. The individual zip files inside are part of the package that is being installed (updated). The package file contains the component and plugin files that make up the package.

In most cases you would not need to extract the package file before uploading it. The exception would be if your host has a limit on the size of a file that can be uploaded to your site or if the file is too slow to upload and causes a timeout.

I'm glad you got the update working.
