Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: (1.6.6)
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (5.1.60)
Host: (http://46.21.172.163)
Akeeba Backup version: (5.2.17)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I have recently updated from 3.3.10 to 3.3.11 as suggested and afterwards I got an error log and in my admin panel, the site transfer button had disappeared. I have read some of the documentation but can't find a related issue. There's a screen which pops up every time I click away but it doesn't stay long enough to read.
I really need the site transfer because I'm just about to move the site and the old way is tedious and I'm no expect?

Kind regards,
Benwmedia

It actually sounds like you accidentally updated to the Core version instead of the Pro version or that the Joomla! extensions installer's known bug (not copying some files) did its miracle again. The solution is very simple. Just download Akeeba Backup Professional 3.3.11's ZIP installation package from our download section and install it on top of what you have on your site twice. Sounds crazy, I know, but you have to install the ZIP file twice, because Joomla! might skip some files the first time (I can replicate this all of the time with Joomla! 1.5, I've only seen it once with Joomla! 1.6, never with 1.7, but your mileage may vary).

Thank you for your prompt reply and sorry I've just seen your message today. I will try it again but you're probably right, it was initially installed by a friend and he suggested that I purchase my own licence.
