Hi,

Sometimes our scheduled command line backup to s3 fails. We have a directory with lots of image files and I changed the akeeba settings to large file scanner which improved it abit but it still fails quite often and it takes along time to backup for its size.

Are there any additional settings I can tweak or something I can do to fix this?

Thanks!

dlb
There is no way for me to know why the backup fails without a backup log from a failed backup. Next time it fails, please zip and post the log file. If this ticket auto closes before that happens, just open a new one.

My apologizes I thought I had attached it. Is it attached now? I saw a little file transfer box but It doesn't show a file attached after I post it.

dlb
If if won't attach, just throw it up on a file service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) and give me the link to it. We'll get it one way or another.

Had to take out the spaces.

Akeeba Backup gets around PHP timeout issues by doing the backup in tiny steps. It does as much as possible in one step, then saves a "bookmark" so it knows where it left off, then starts a new step with a new timer. This backup was interrupted because it could not save the bookmark. We really can't tell from the log if that is the cause of the problem or if it is a symptom of something else.

Please go to Configuration and flip the value of the "Use database storage for temporary data" field. If it is checked, uncheck it, if it is unchecked, check it. That changes how the bookmark is stored. Since this is an intermittent problem, you may have to test if for a few days to know if the problem is fixed. Please let me know.
