Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? YES
Have I searched the tickets before posting? YES
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? YES
Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: 5.3.6
MySQL version: 5.1.53
Host: Dreamhost
Akeeba Backup version: 3.4.3

Description of my issue:
During CLI backup of my site and upload of backup to Dropbox, I'm getting a warning "Failed to remove old backup file" and file name during the second finale step (first with no description). If I look at both my backup directory and my Dropbox directory, those files are not found when they were present prior to the backup. With no information about *what* finale step, I don't know if the warning is due to a potential failure on my site or in Dropbox.

I will need the backup log file, not just the output of the backup script. In order to get that, please go to your site's backend, Components, Akeeba Backup and click on View Log. In the "Origin" drop-down list, please select "Command-line". In the new page, click on Download log file. It will download a .txt file. Put it in a ZIP archive and attach it to your next reply. This will give me the necessary context to understand the warning message. Thank you!

Hi Glenn,

I don't see a warning in that log file which could explain this issue and I couldn't replicate that warning in my own testing. However, I see something which may be a bug (I have to test some more). I see that the uploaded file is not removed from your server after uploading. This shouldn't happen. I will have to run more tests and, if that's indeed a bug, I will fix that in the next version of Akeeba Backup.

Meanwhile, your backups are working properly, despite that warning.

Thanks. I noticed that everything seemed fine -- files were there that were supposed to be there, files that were supposed to be deleted had been. I was just seeing the warning in the console output but not the log -- hence I reported it.
