Description of my issue:

I keep getting an email:

An updated version of Akeeba Backup is available.
Version: 3.4.3
Release date: 2012-03-21
Stability: Stable

I have the latest version installed and have tried re-installing it and I still get the message.

When I log into admin I get the indicator that back-up is required but when I look at mt RackSpace and now Amazon S# accounts I see the back up there..

I am wondering why I keep getting the upgrade notice and see "failed" in logs although the backup appears to be there on remote.

Any guidance would be appreciated
John

The email says that there is a newer version of Akeeba Backup than the one installed on your site, namely version 3.4.3. I can see from your downloads log that, over time, you've downloaded all versions from 3.3.4 all the way to 3.4.3. Since the IP seems to be a static IP assigned to your cable modem, I assume it's not because of you using Live Update. So, I am not sure if you forgot to install the new version on your site? This would explain why you receive an email from the Akeeba Backup update notification plugin which you activated on your site telling you that you need to upgrade Akeeba Backup.

All other information regarding your backups are irrelevant to this email. You will never receive an email telling you that you need to run a backup on your site.
