I have tested Akeeba Kickstart on virtually every major browser (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari, Opera) across the three major platforms (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux). I am pretty sure that the –rather trivial– Javascript it uses does work under all of those browsers. The only few things I can suspect are:
  • Stale browser cache; clear cache, relaunch browser, retry
  • Script/Javascript blocker browser extensions. You wouldn't believe how many people tell me my software is broken when all they have to do is disable NoScript...
  • You may have a firewall or antivirus application which prevents scripts from loading

I have both a flash blocker and an ad blocker in Chrome. Maybe this had something to do with it but i have had the same settings and extensions for about a year and it has always worked.
I tried to clean the cache and restart browser. Only thing that is different from before is that i now run Mountain Lion. Might be some new firewall/gatekeeper that is blocking it. But then again, worked in Safari.

I'm sure it's neither Chrome itself (maybe an extension, though!), nor Mountain Lion. I am developing my software on Google Chrome and Mac OS X Mountain Lion. I would have certainly noticed if somethign was broken under this environment :D
