I've had many reports from people using Firefox 14 with this issue. I can't replicate this on my copy of Firefox 14 and it certainly doesn't happen on Firefox 13. Of course all other decent browsers (Chrome, IE9, Opera, Safari) do work without a problem. That's pretty much why the documentation states:
Firefox is no longer officially supported, even though the component will most likely work on it. Ever since Firefox 4, the quality of this browser has constantly degraded. Severe bugs have routinely been present in supposedly stable releases. This increased bug reports as features which worked on any other browser would not work on Firefox. Given that these bugs were fixed 6 weeks later, in the next so-called stable release of Firefox, it was deemed futile to expend any energy into pursuing workaround on our part. As a result, we consider Firefox 4 and later a broken browser and we no longer support it. Do not file any bugs if you are using Firefox; we will decline to help you. If you want a decent browser please use Google Chrome, Safari or even Internet Explorer 9+.

So, the action plan in your case would be:
- Try installing the Professional version again on your site, without uninstalling the existing version. Why? Because it's already documented why.
- If you're using Firefox, ditch it for a browser which doesn't break Javascript in each .0 release, like Chrome or even Internet Explorer 9 (not 8 or previous versions, they have other problems of their own).
- If you are using a popup blocker, script blocker, antivirus or Internet security application try disabling them. AVG Antivirus has a notorious feature called "Link checker". It should be properly called "screw up my browser" because that's what it does. If you have this, disable it and restart your PC (it won't be disabled otherwise).
