I have read the clarification article about System Restore Points and have tried all of the troubleshooting steps listed there. I am trying to install i.e. SEO Simple Plugin on Joomla! 2.5.6 and PHP 5.2.16
Mandatory information about my setup:

Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.1

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
The backup is working fine. I cannot install any Extension, only if a unpublish "system restore point". I get a blank screen with the URL:
administrator/index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=installer&task=extract&e7ffa1bf188d7ee8b1528c031f20dbf0=1

Please follow the instructions on that article.
