Description of my issue:

I operate a multilingual web site. For backup I use Akeeba Backup Professional. I would like to start the programme once a day automatically by means of Cronjob. Since 'index.php/' is conducted automatically further on 'index.php/de/' (the active language), the link does not work properly. How can I start Akeeba Backup Professional by means of Cronjob under these circumstances?

Have you tried our CRON script? This is always the preferred method.

That said, Joomla!'s multilingual feature does not conflict with Akeeba Backup's front-end backup URL. The only thing that could be an issue would be using a third party SEF component. Such components do tend to break the front-end backup feature unless you somehow tell them to leave Akeeba Backup URLs alone.
