Description of my issue:

During the backup process, it will not move past the Database Backup step. It doesn't show an error anywhere though. In one instance, I left it running for 30 minutes and was still at the Database backup part of the process.

I haven't changed anything on my server in months, and it has worked great until a week or two ago. I've attached my log file as well as a picture of what I'm describing.

Thank you for your help.

You think it has hang. It hasn't. It's still working. Just check your log.

You have a humongous security exceptions log table from Admin Tools (#__admintools_log). When you cancelled your backup it had backed up one million five hundred seventy one thousands and nine hundred ninety three rows out of the 2754287 total rows.

My suggestion: go to Exclude Database Tables, find the #__admintools_log table and click the second button from the left (Don't backup its contents). Problem solved!
