Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 2.5.8
PHP version: 5.3.3
MySQL version: 5.0.95
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.9

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:  I have set up Akeeba Backup to back my site up every 3 days with the backup file being copied to Dropbox.  Last week the size of the backup file suddenly grew by 100MB from 127.50MB to 227.03MB which is the size that it has remained at in the subsequent 3 backups.  As it was now over 150MB then Dropbox would not accept the file and so I have changed the settings to split the jpa archive at 99.98MB.

Although I have fixed the immediate issue of files not being uploaded to Dropbox (a manual 'Backup Now' proved that it worked OK) I am puzzled/concerned as to where the extra 100MB has come from, especially when there is very little that has changed on the site - one or two more contacts in the RSMail subscribers list will be about all.  I have attached the last frontend log file as this was the latest to run automatically overnight last night and would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction as my initial scanning of the file is not coming up with any answers.

Thank you

David Anson

Searching for "large file" inside your log file, I can see these:

INFO |121121 00:00:13|Breaking step _before_ large file: <root>/reader3/AirReader/database.db - size: 11417464

INFO |121121 00:01:00|Breaking step *after* large file: <root>/sqlbackups/advsystems.sql - size: 85335843

Their total file is close to 100Mb and does seem in line with the sudden file size increase.
