Description of my issue:
Nicholas,

I use the Mosets Tree directory extension on some of my sites. For some strange reason AB Pro is not backing up the following folders for that extension. I do not have any folders filtered/blocked in the AB profile settings (I use the default AB profile settings):

/components/com_mtree/img/listings/

/components/com_mtree/img/listings/o/

/components/com_mtree/img/listings/m/

/components/com_mtree/img/listings/s/

These folders have the photos/images assigned to the directory listings. O = original size photos, M = medium size photos, S = small size photos.

Here is the link to my 13 MB AB Pro Backup Log file: http://plumbers.nemmar.com/Akeeba-Backup-Debug-Log.txt

Do you have any advice on what might be causing this since those folders are not blocked/filtered in the backup profile settings? I have a lot of photos in those folders but I don't think that would be the cause of AB Pro not backing up those folders.

Thanks for any advice!

For some reason your operating system does not report the existence of the /components/com_mtree/img/listings/ directory at all. Please make sure this is a directory and not a symlink. Check its permissions; they should be at least 0755 for it to be listed and backed up. Its contained directories should also have 0755 permissions and its contained files and the files contained inside all subdirectories must have 0644 permissions.

Nicholas,

I just checked the permissions and they are all correct.

The /listings and it's subdirectories are all 0755 and the image files in the folders are all 0644.

What do you think might be causing this? Could it be a bug in the Mosets Tree extension the would prevent the backup of those folders/files?

I don't the answer can be found in either of the involved components. What I am seeing in your log is that Akeeba Backup asks the operating system –through PHP's opendir()– for a list of files and directories inside the components/com_mtree/img directory. The listings directory is not reported. At all. If a directory is excluded by Akeeba Backup it does say so in the log as a debug message (for example "Skipping /path/to/directory"). There is no such message and no message to indicate that it's trying to scan it. This can only mean that for some reason I don't understand the operating system doesn't report that directory.
